About us

We are a free church based on the Bible. We are passionate about Jesus Christ and love helping people discover their next step. Learn more about Bethel Church Community here.

Welcome to our website

The Bethel Church of Switzerland has been around for over 80 years. With us, you will meet all generations with the most diverse backgrounds. We appreciate this diversity in the knowledge that Jesus Christ has a tremendous appeal to billions of people to this day. You are welcome no matter who you are.

With us, you will have the opportunity to learn more about your next step – whether it’s first getting to know God; whether it’s finding freedom in certain areas of your life; whether it’s discovering more about your God-given purpose; or whether it’s using the gifts you’ve been given to make a difference for others in this world. This is done in the context of Bible-based, sound and relevant teaching, creative and passionate worship, and friendly, family fellowship in small groups.
As a church, we value mutually complementary cooperation with other churches and charitable works. We are part of the local Evangelical Alliance Baden-Wettingen and belong to the Federation of SPM (Swiss Pentecostal Mission). Accordingly, we are committed to a Reformation creed. Our leadership team consists of pastors and volunteer leaders.
We welcome you to one of our Sunday services. If you have any questions, we are happy to answer them by email or in person at the GROW meeting after the service.

Locally we are part of the Evangelical Alliance Baden-Wettingen.

Our vision

We see a church where many people come to know God, find freedom, discover their purpose, and make a difference.

The first step of the journey begins with experiencing God personally through Jesus Christ. The more you know about Him, the more you will be able to trust Him with your life.

What we believe

God is the Creator and Lord of the universe. He has always existed and is revealed in the three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are equal and one God.

Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Genesis 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

The Bible is God’s Word for all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth of the Christian faith and the standard for the life of a Christian. Because the Bible was inspired by God, it is truth and without error.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160; Psalm 12:6; Proverbs 30:5.

Man was created in God’s spiritual image to have a being like God. He is the supreme creature in God’s creation. Although man has exceedingly great potential for good, he/she is characterized by an attitude of disobedience to God, also called “sin.” This attitude separates man from God.

Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2

Human beings were created to live forever. A person will either exist eternally separated from God, or in eternal fellowship with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be in fellowship with Him eternally means heaven. Heaven and hell are places of eternal existence.

John 3:16; John 2:25; John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; 1 John 5:11-12; Matthew 25:31-46.

Jesus is the Son of God. He is equal to the father. Jesus lived a sinless human life. He gave Himself as a flawless sacrifice for the sins of all mankind by dying on the cross. After three days he rose from the dead, proving his power over sin and death. He has ascended to heaven and will come back to earth as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13.

Salvation is God’s gift to us human beings. Man cannot redeem himself from his sins by his own efforts or good works. Only through faith in Jesus Christ as God’s sacrifice of forgiveness can man be saved from the consequence of sin. Eternal life with God begins for you from the moment you receive Jesus Christ into your life through faith.

Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; John 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1.

The Holy Spirit is equal to God the Father and the Son. He is present in our world to make us aware that we need Jesus. From the moment of salvation, He lives in every Christian. He supports the believing Christian with strength, understanding of spiritual truths, and guidance to do what is right. A Christian tries to live under His guidance every day.

2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:1.

Bethel Team

LEADERSHIP BEGINS WITH JESUS

Jesus Christ is our head pastor and Bethel Church is His church. All other leaders in our church are qualified believers who follow Jesus and encourage others to follow Him as well. According to the biblical template, the church is led by elders (strategic leadership), deacons (operational leadership) and church members (other responsibilities).

In the Bethel Church community, many people serve on a volunteer basis. Some, however, are also employed, these we present here briefly.

Michael Ruppen

Lead pastor
Prayer, Mission, Alliance

Michael thinks as a visionary and loves to get things moving.
He has a passion for digging deeply into God’s Word and enjoys presenting the treasures he has unearthed in an understandable way.

In addition to his family, he particularly enjoys investing himself in the lives and potential of leaders. He has a heart for worship and loves to rock out with the other musicians on guitar.

Corina summer

Pastor
Small groups, sanctification

Corina is thrilled when people experience the healing, restoring and releasing power of Jesus in a very practical way in their lives, and she loves to accompany people on this path to freedom.

Even in her everyday life as a mother, she likes to be out and about with other people, enjoys a leisurely latte macchiato and family outings on her bike.

Raphael Herren

Pastor
Youth, Worship

Raphael thinks in structures and is enthusiastic about things that interlock and work. He loves to challenge people, teach them and explain things to them.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading books and newspapers, jogging and hiking, or doing crafts with Legos or Briobahns with his son.

Micha Bolliger

Pastor
Kids

Micha’s passion is to pass on God’s love to children and to encourage them in their calling. He loves to see children develop and grow into strong personalities.

Micha is also active in the training of mini-leaders at Youthnet and is involved as a Y+S coach and trainer.

In his spare time he plays club football as a goalkeeper. In the winter he loves to go to the mountains to snowboard.

Amanda Ponti

Head of Administration

Amanda is practical and has a big heart. She is there whenever the need arises. She is flexible when required.

She takes people’s concerns seriously. Thanks to her wealth of experience and the inexhaustible resources of Jesus, she offers valuable help. It is her joy to serve in the Body of Christ, and her joy is contagious.

In her free time, she likes to be out in nature with her dog. She is happy when people come for a spontaneous visit.

Laura Di Cristofaro

Head Teens

Laura loves being out and about with people and starting events and projects. She has a passion for prayer, prophecy and worship, which she enjoys using for others.

Her free time is as versatile as Laura herself. There are quiet times, when Laura likes to read and relax in nature, as well as action-packed times, which she enjoys spending with friends in a variety of places.

Dominique Bumann

Head Youth

Dominique wants to bring people closer together, whether young or old. She wants to accompany young people on their journey and encourage them in their relationship with God.

In her free time Dominique likes to be creative, loves to worship God with music and likes to meet friends for a coffee.
